Michael Lee Lahr I was born on February 16, 1953, in Beech Grove, Indiana. Michael died peacefully, surrounded by family at home on April 8, 2017 in Shelbyville, Indiana at the age of 64.

Michael worked at Shamrock Transport, as an over the road truck driver, enabling him to visit 48 states and some provinces in Canada. Michael also worked at G&G as a Lathe Operator for over 20 years.

Michael lived life to the fullest. He spent most of his time fishing, listening to music, and spending time with family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Mary L. Lahr and Lawrence E. Lahr. He is survived by his Children Michael Lee Lahr II, Michelle Leigh Lahr – Louden; his grandchildren Shania N. Louden, Elizabeth M. Louden, Sarah M. Louden, Nathan A. Louden; his sister Denise L. Lahr – Lower (Norman); his brothers Will E. Lahr, Ronnie D. Lahr, and Brian E. Lahr; and nieces and a nephew.

There will be a grave side service held at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203 on April 12, 2017 at 1:30 pm.
